Obituary of Lyle Binkley

BINKLEY, LYLE passed away suddenly, while doing what he loved with his family, on Saturday September 1st 2012 at age 82. Beloved husband of 62 years to Gwen. Dearly Loved father of Gary & Janet Binkley, Dianne & Roger Elliott, Brian Binkley and Glenn Binkley. Proud grandfather of Alan & Louisa, Lee & Rachel, Jennifer & Eustan, Cassandra & Phil, Nancy & Steve. Doting great grandfather to Stephen, Ethan, Evan, Olivia, Isabelle, Raiden, Elizabeth and Julia. Dear brother of Gerald & Lillian Binkley, Marguerite & Bill Martin and sister-in-law Flo Binkley. Predeceased by brother Gordon Binkley. Lyle first began working for his father's business in Waterdown, then purchased a dairy farm in the area. In 1962 he joined the Ontario Provincial Police and moved to Waterford. His career with the O.P.P. spanned over 27 years. Lyle was also an active member of the Waterford United Church. Friends may call at The THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME in Waterford on Tuesday September 4th from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday September 5th at 11AM Rev. John Maich officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations can made to The Alzheimer Society or charity of your choice. Cremation will take place after the funeral followed by interment of ashes at a later date.
