Sorry that I couldn't be there to express my deepest condolences in person. Went to school, and played ball with Russ and am richer for having met and known Rusty. He was a good guy, and did a lot of good for the school. We were the first in the county to have the universal gym and Russ as the President of our Athletic Council was one of the leaders of that group who made it happen.

As a former classmate and teammate of Rustys, I was very sad to learn of his tragic passing. He was truly one of the good guys we meet in life and will be missed greatly by his many friends and family.

My deepest sympathy at the loss of Russell. Mother called last night and told me, I'm at a lost for words. I have not see anyone in the family for years. But you all have been very dear to me. We all went through school together as well as worked on the farm. Played on the farm, got hurt on the farm, I spent my whole childhood with you guys. I'm sitting here typing this, remembering all the times spent together, crying. It's unfortunate I could not be there Once again my condolences at your loss. I'll make it a point this summer to go to the farm and spend some time with you.
