I am so saddened to hear of this sad news of which I found out by accident. Jayne and I went to school together, figure skating was one of our passions. I often thought of Jayne and asked about her always. Condolences to the whole family. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Dearest Aunt Jayne,
I know we didn't know each other very well and I wish I could change that. But for the things I do remember is your warm welcoming smile, your kind heart, your great strength, courage through some of life's most difficult challenges. Not only were you so beautiful, but extremely brave. I am so very sorry I couldn't be there for you to say goodbye, but my thoughts never left you. Such a wonderful person you are and will never be forgotten. I love you. I will miss you and you will never be forgotten.
'The Peace of Wild Things', by Wendell Berry. "When despair for the world grows in me and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be, I go lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time, I rest in the grace of the world and am free!"
Love always, Laura

My dearest sister-in-law. There are no words to express the sadness I feel. I watched you grow up from the age of 12 into a strong, intelligent, capable woman, mother, daughter, sister and friend. You measured the steps of your life with grace, dignity, compassion and love for your parents, your brothers and sister, your four handsome boys and your greatest love - Steve. During the times when life would hand you pain and turmoil, you forgave the ones you loved. Your infectious smile, beautiful blue eyes and heartfelt laugh gave many of us such a warm and loving feeling inside. You were my friend, my confident, my sister and I love you and miss you. Forever in my heart and my thoughts until we see each other in a better place.

It is said that "Time heals all wounds." Unfortunately, time does not give back to us the ones we love the most. Time will not bring back our children, parents, siblings, spouses and dearest friends. Our thoughts are with all of Jayne's family at this time. Sending our deepest condolences for someone who touched so many. Renee Dave Stephen Sean

The memories I have of you will be with me for the rest of my life. I will forever cherish the times I spent with you talking, joking, texting and helping you on the farm. I take comfort in knowing we will all join together again someday at Duck Lake. I was proud to call you my sister and admired how you kept the farm going through many difficult times. I will always remember when I noticed your confidence returning, your smile everpresent and I knew you would be ok. What could of caused this? His name was Steve. Rest in peace my beatiful sister.

Im going to miss your early morning texts about where the shopping adventure was for the day! joking about what was going back and what was being kept. You gained your smile back over 3 years ago and at that time I knew you were going to be safe and taken care of. So many memories of you will keep me going until we meet again. You were an amazing sister, mother and best friend! Keep smiling Jayne. I love you!

I couldn't believe when I heard the news from Jenn about Jayne. I have many great memories of Jayne from my teenage years. She definately taught me how to shop, introduced me to Neil Diamond and Steiff and influenced my decision to pursue a career in the dental field. Over the past couple years I was in contact with Jayne more frequently. Living in the United States, she would purchase various things from ebay and have them sent to my house that she could't have shipped to Canada. She was still quite the shopper! Everytime I see a beige corvette, I think of her. Rest peacefully, Jayne. May fond memories of you help your loved ones through this difficult time.

I am still in shock to hear the news. To June and Don, I will send you my condolences separately as I do not believe there is enough space here to tell you how much Jayne's friendship has meant to me during a time in my life when that friendship guided who I am as a person and as a mother. I miss Jayne's laugh and her gentle ways. I can't imagine your sorrow. Jayne's star is a light that will shine in the heavens forever. To Steve, I did not have the pleasure of meeting you, but if you made our Jayne happy, then you must be quite the man, and I thank you for making her so happy. To the boys, your mother was my best friend during a time in my life when friends are more like your family. We had so much fun together back in the day. She was beautiful and funny and charming and smart and sweet. She was never mean or cruel. She had a quiet way that wasn't shyness - just her gentle nature. To Jennifer, she was your closest sibling, your sister. I thought of you this morning when I woke and thought of Jayne. Time and distance may have separated Jayne and I, but I have always considered Jayne one of my closest and dearest of friends which I have made in my lifetime and I have always remembered her fondly. My memories of Jayne are always with me and I have always thought of her over the years (Jennifer - as I mentioned to you my daughter Emma always reminded me of Jayne - they are so alike!) Celebrate the spirit of her life - that's what Jayne would want. I wish I could be with you at Steve's. I will be away. But I would love to touch base with you all some way, if to share some stories and memories - I can appreciate how hard this is for all of you. Know that in even in the silences, someone is thinking and praying for you, your family and Jayne. Love Karen.
