Obituary of Jayne Murphy

A beautiful star, Jayne Elizabeth Murphy (nee Schneider), 51, died suddenly on January 19, 2015 at the Norfolk General Hospital in Simcoe. Jayne was born January 22, 1963, in Hespeler, Ontario. She worked as a Dental Hygienist in Cambridge and Simcoe, retiring in 2014 to spend more time with her beloved fiancé, Steve Carroll on their farm in Waterford. Jayne was a creative artisan throughout her entire life enjoying drawing, mosaics and more recently, totem carving. Her mosaics reflected her spirit including a sunshine mosaic she crafted and proudly placed in her office at work. She co-created a large mosaic for a local hospital. Jayne was a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Delhi. Jayne has always been committed to fitness beginning early in life with figure skating, baseball and keeping up with her two older brothers. She was an avid runner throughout her adult life. Her 'never sit still' attitude, compassion, love of life, and joy she gave to others who were fortunate to know her, was surpassed by the depth of her love and commitment she had for her four boys , her extended family and her fiancé, who brought such incredible love and happiness into her life. Jayne is survived by her four boys, Patrick, Matthew, Luke and Daniel of Waterford; her fiancé, Steve Carroll, her mother and father, Donald and Junne Schneider of Cambridge; her brother John (Jack) Schneider and his wife, Nancy of Drumbo; Joe Schneider and his wife, Susan of Kitchener; sister Jennifer Moran and her husband, Rod of Maryhill; several aunts and uncles, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jayne's life will be held Saturday February 7, 2015 from 1-4pm at Steve's Cave . As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Waterford Camp Trillium or Norfolk General Hospital.
