Obituary of DONALD RAYMOND BIGGS

BIGGS, Donald Raymond – Peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital on Thursday January 25, 2018 of Waterford at the age of 84. Dearly loved husband of the late Rhea, and the late Rae. Loving father of Shirley (and Gary) Teal, David (and Kathy) Carr, Judy (and Jim) Maddiford. Proud grandfather of Dana (and Jordan), Chris (and Miranda), Becky, Jonathan (and Michele), Mike, Glenn, Nicole (and Brian), and adored great grandchildren Maddison, Ashton, Charissa, Noelle, Kiana, Kyle, Molly, Alice, Andrew, Alex, and Sydney. Dear brother of Lois and brother-in-law Jake (and Pat). Predeceased by sisters Margaret and Elizabeth, brother Robert and sister and brother-in-law Millie (and Don) McCollum. Don was a proud member of the Waterford Legion Branch #123 and Don's dedication was honoured by the many unending visits by his Comrades from the legion. Don served in the Korean War 2nd Battalion P.P.L.I. and was awarded the Ambassador's Peace Medal in 2014. Friends may be received at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Wednesday January 31, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Legion Service will be Wednesday at 6:30pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday February 1, 2018 at 11am. Pastor Allan Thompson and Pastor Jamie Shurr officiating. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery.
